Invisalign vs Traditional Braces: Which Is Right for You?
Both options can deliver excellent results. Understanding the differences helps you choose the treatment that fits your lifestyle.

Orthodontic treatment has come a long way. Today, patients can choose between traditional fixed braces and clear aligner systems like Invisalign. Both can achieve excellent results, but they differ in comfort, aesthetics, discipline required and suitability for certain bite problems.
Traditional braces use brackets bonded to each tooth, connected by a wire that is adjusted periodically. They are highly effective for complex cases involving severe crowding, significant bite discrepancies or tooth rotation. Because they are fixed, there is no risk of forgetting to wear them — but they are visible and require dietary modifications to avoid damaging the brackets.
Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners that are changed approximately every one to two weeks. They are virtually invisible and can be removed for eating and cleaning, making oral hygiene simpler. However, success depends on wearing the aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day — discipline is essential.
At Asok Montri Dental Clinic, we use the iTero scanner to create a digital treatment preview before you begin, so you can see your expected result in advance. During your consultation, Dr. Supawat Puttipart will assess your case and recommend the most appropriate option based on your clinical needs and personal preferences.
