When patients ask us about All-on-4 dental implants in Thailand, the first question is often about cost. It is understandable to want a clear figure before arranging travel. However, an All-on-4 quotation must reflect the condition of each jaw, the type of restoration and any additional treatment required. All-on-4 uses four dental implants to support a full arch of prosthetic teeth. It may be considered for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth. The same approach is not suitable for every patient, so the final recommendation follows an examination of the mouth, bite and available bone.

Why All-on-4 does not have one price for every patient

The term All-on-4 describes the number of implants supporting an arch. It does not describe every item in the finished treatment. Two patients may both need a full arch, yet require different procedures, restorative materials or appointment schedules.

A quotation may change according to whether treatment is needed for the upper jaw, lower jaw or both jaws. The condition of the remaining teeth also matters. Some teeth may need to be removed, while other patients may already be without teeth and ready for implant assessment.

One arch and both arches are different treatment plans

An upper or lower full arch is planned as a separate restoration. Treatment for both arches involves a larger clinical and restorative plan because the dentist must consider how the upper and lower teeth meet. This relationship affects comfort, function and the design of the final teeth.

For this reason, patients should confirm whether a quoted amount is for one arch or for both arches. The written plan should also identify the areas being treated and the stages included. We do not recommend comparing two quotations until they describe the same scope of treatment.

Temporary and final teeth may be separate stages

In selected cases, a fixed bridge or denture may be placed on the day of implant surgery. This is sometimes described as immediate function. Suitability depends on the clinical condition and the stability achieved when the implants are placed.

A same-day restoration may be temporary or may form part of a staged restorative plan. Patients should ask which type is included, what material will be used and whether a later final restoration is required. These details can have a significant effect on the quotation and the number of visits.

Bone and soft tissue procedures can affect the quote

All-on-4 uses angled implant placement and can sometimes reduce the need for bone grafting. It does not eliminate grafting in every case. Severe bone loss, the position of the sinus and the condition of the gum tissue may affect what is clinically appropriate.

Our oral surgery services include bone grafting, sinus grafting and soft tissue grafting. In suitable cases, an implant and a graft may be placed during the same surgery. Other patients may need staged treatment and a healing period. Any additional procedure should be identified clearly rather than assumed to be part of a standard package.

What we assess before confirming treatment

We examine the teeth, gums, bite and available bone before confirming an All-on-4 plan. Imaging and clinical assessment help us decide whether four implants are appropriate or whether another approach should be considered. • whether the amount covers one arch or both arches

• the number of implants planned for each arch

• the material and timing of the final restoration

• whether bone or soft tissue grafting may be required

• which scans, medicines and follow-up appointments are included

• whether a return visit is expected

A lower initial figure may represent a different stage or a different restoration. A complete written plan makes the comparison more useful and reduces uncertainty when arranging travel.

No. Some suitable patients may receive a fixed restoration on the day of surgery, but the treatment plan and later appointments depend on the clinical condition.

Does All-on-4 always avoid bone grafting?

No. Angled implant placement can sometimes reduce the need for grafting. We still need to assess the available bone and the position of surrounding structures.

Is treatment for both arches simply twice the price of one arch?

It should not be assumed. Both-arch treatment requires a complete assessment of the bite and the restorative plan. The written quotation should state the actual scope.

Can you confirm my price before I travel?
