When patients compare dental implant costs in Thailand, the first figure they see is rarely enough to make a useful decision. A quote for one implant cannot be compared with a full arch plan, and two quotes may include different procedures or restorations.

At Asok Montri Dental Clinic, we first identify the treatment that suits your condition. We then explain what is included, what may be required and which details can only be confirmed after examination.

Why there is no single dental implant price

The cost depends on how many teeth need to be replaced and the type of restoration planned. Our implant services include single implants, multiple implants, full mouth dental implants, immediate implant placement and All-on-4 treatment.

A single implant replaces one missing tooth. Multiple implants may support several teeth or a bridge. Full mouth treatment and All-on-4 cover a much larger treatment area. These options involve different materials, procedures and appointment schedules, so their prices should not be compared as if they were the same service.

What should be included in an implant quote?

We recommend asking for an itemised estimate rather than relying on a headline price. The quote should identify the proposed treatment and show which parts are included.

Depending on your plan, the estimate may cover:

  • consultation and clinical assessment

  • imaging required for treatment planning

  • the number of implants being placed

  • the abutment or connecting component

  • a temporary tooth or temporary bridge

  • the final crown, bridge or full arch restoration

  • extractions or other preparatory treatment

  • review appointments and planned follow-up

Not every patient needs every item. The purpose of the breakdown is to make the treatment scope clear before you compare totals.

Single implants, multiple implants and full mouth treatment

Single implant

A single implant is designed to replace one missing tooth. It generally requires fewer procedures than a multiple implant or full mouth case, although the condition of the bone and gum still affects the plan.

Multiple implants

Several missing teeth may be restored with multiple implants or an implant-supported bridge. The quote should state how many implants and replacement teeth are included, as these are not always the same number.

Full mouth implants and All-on-4

All-on-4 uses four implants to support a full arch of prosthetic teeth. Our clinic describes it as a more cost-effective and less invasive option than placing a traditional implant for every missing tooth in suitable cases.

For any full arch quote, ask whether the amount covers one arch or both jaws and whether it includes temporary teeth, the final restoration or both.

How grafting can change the estimate

An implant needs adequate bone support. When the available bone is insufficient, we may recommend a bone graft before or during implant placement.

Some upper jaw cases may require a sinus graft to increase the available bone. In selected cases, the graft and implant can be placed during the same surgery. Other patients require a staged approach with healing between procedures.

Bone grafting and sinus grafting are not automatically needed for every patient. If either procedure is proposed, the quote should show it separately and explain how it affects the treatment schedule.

Can immediate implant treatment reduce the number of procedures?

For selected patients, an implant may be placed at the time a tooth is removed. This is called immediate implant placement. Combining extraction and implant placement can reduce the number of separate surgical procedures.

Some patients may also receive a temporary or permanent restoration shortly after implant placement. Immediate treatment is case dependent. We need to examine the tooth, bone and surrounding tissues before deciding whether it is suitable.

Budgeting for treatment from Australia

Ask for the clinical estimate in Thai baht and confirm how long it remains valid. When converting the total to Australian dollars, record the exchange rate and date because the conversion may change before payment.

Keep the treatment budget separate from travel costs. Your travel budget may include flights, accommodation, local transport and a possible return trip. The cheapest headline price may not be the lowest overall cost if important treatment components or later appointments are excluded.

Before booking, ask us to clarify which appointments can be planned in advance and which depend on the examination or healing.

Your implant quote checklist

Before accepting an estimate, confirm that it states:

  • the teeth or arches covered by the plan

  • the number of implants included

  • the type of temporary and final restoration

  • any proposed extraction, bone graft or sinus graft

  • the expected appointment sequence

  • which reviews are included

  • how changes to the plan and cost will be discussed

A clear quote allows you to compare treatment plans rather than comparing numbers without context.

Frequently asked questions

Does an implant price always include the crown?

Do not assume that it does. Ask whether the estimate includes the implant, abutment and final crown or other restoration.

Can I compare an All-on-4 price with a single implant price?

No. They cover different treatment scopes. Confirm whether a full arch amount covers one jaw or both jaws and whether temporary and final teeth are included.

Will I need a bone graft?

Not every patient needs grafting. We consider it when the existing bone does not provide adequate support for the planned implant.

Can the final cost be confirmed online?

Records and X-rays can help us prepare, but the final treatment scope and estimate depend on an individual clinical assessment.
