If you are new to Bangkok or have never visited our clinic, it helps to know what your first appointment will cover. Asok Montri Dental Clinic is at 38/8 Asoke Montri Road in Watthana, near Asoke BTS Station and Sukhumvit MRT Station. We see local and international patients for general and specialist dental care.

Your first visit is a chance to explain what concerns you, understand what the dentist finds and agree on the next step. You do not need to decide on a treatment before we have examined your teeth and gums.

Before you book

Tell our team whether you want a routine check-up, cleaning, help with pain, or an opinion about a particular treatment. If you have swelling, an injury or severe symptoms, say so when contacting us so we can advise on appointment availability and urgency. If you prefer to discuss your care in English, mention that when you make the appointment.

You can contact the clinic through the details on our website. Opening hours and appointment times can change, so please confirm a time directly with the team before travelling to Asok.

Finding the clinic

Our address is 38/8 Asoke Montri Road, Klong Toey Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110. The clinic is close to Asoke BTS and Sukhumvit MRT. Allow extra travel time if you are coming from another part of Bangkok, especially during busy periods. If you are unsure which entrance to use or need accessibility information, ask when you book.

What to bring

Bring a list of medicines you take, relevant medical conditions and any allergies. If you have recent dental X-rays, a treatment plan from another dentist or records of ongoing care, tell us what is available. These records can provide useful context, but the dentist will still need to examine you and decide whether new images or tests are required.

If you are visiting Thailand and may return home soon, share your departure date. That helps us distinguish treatment that may be completed during this stay from care that needs several stages or follow-up.

During the appointment

We begin by listening to your main concern and reviewing the relevant history. The dentist may examine the teeth, gums, existing restorations and bite. An X-ray or another investigation may be recommended when it would help answer a specific clinical question. Our clinic has digital X-ray, CT scanning and iTero oral scanning technology, but no patient needs every test at a first visit.

We will explain the findings in plain language. If a problem is urgent, we will discuss what should be addressed first. If several options are reasonable, you can ask about their benefits, limits, expected number of visits and maintenance. A consultation is also the right time to say if you are anxious about dental treatment.

Understanding a proposed quotation

A useful quotation should identify the procedure and the teeth or areas involved. Ask what is included, whether laboratory work or imaging is separate, and whether a temporary stage, final restoration or follow-up appointment has a separate fee. More complex care may require an examination before a reliable total can be given.

Do not feel pressured to accept an elective procedure during the first visit. We can help you understand the sequence, timing and alternatives so that you can make an informed decision.

After your first visit

Before leaving, make sure you know the next step and when to return. If you receive treatment, follow the care instructions given for that procedure. If a treatment plan involves several appointments, ask which visits need to happen in Bangkok and what records may be useful if another dentist will continue your care elsewhere.

Questions we often hear

Can I book only a check-up?

Yes. A check-up is a sensible starting point if you want to understand your oral health before considering treatment.

Will I need an X-ray?

That depends on the concern and what the dentist can see during the examination. We will explain why an image is recommended if one is needed.

Can I plan care around a short trip?

Tell us your travel dates. The appointment sequence depends on the findings and the treatment involved, so any schedule should be confirmed after assessment.
