Root canal treatment (endodontic therapy) is aim to cure the infection within a tooth's pulp, while root surgery (endodontic surgery) is a more invasive procedure used when the infection persist and has the apical lesion or cyst often focusing on the tip of the root.

We also use CT scan for endodontics to find the pathway of the root canal within the root from the orifice down to the apex , which help to treat the root canal more efficiently and success.
